Zubora Kakeibo ("the app") is built so that your money records stay on your phone as much as possible. This page states plainly what is sent, and where.
What is stored
The income and expense records you enter, the conversation, and any photos are stored only inside your device, in a local database. None of it accumulates on the developer's servers.
What is sent to the AI
Text and photos you put into the chat are sent to Anthropic's AI (Claude) so that they can be read. The request passes through a relay server hosted on Cloudflare, and contains only:
- the text or photo you just entered
- summary figures needed to make sense of it (this month's total, your recent records, any budget you set)
- the display language and currency you have chosen
What is sent is processed temporarily in order to produce a reply. Text and images sent this way are not used to train future AI models (per Anthropic's terms for commercial API use).
Voice input
Voice input uses the speech recognition built into your device. Your voice itself is never sent to the developer's servers. The recognised text simply lands in the input box; whether to send it is your decision.
Exchange rates
When an amount is written in a foreign currency, publicly available exchange rate data is fetched to convert it. That request contains none of your records and no device identifier.
Usage measurement
To keep track of how much the app is used, an anonymous identifier generated on your device (a random value that does not identify you) and a monthly usage figure are recorded on the developer's server. No name, email address, or device serial number is included.
Counts of which features were used (written in the chat, entered by hand, read from a photo, monthly summary produced, paywall opened, and so on) are recorded as well. **No amounts, descriptions, categories, payment methods or chat text are included.** These counts are stored only on the developer's server and are not sent to any outside analytics service.
Advertising and tracking
The app carries no advertising. No behavioural data is collected for advertising purposes.
Sharing with third parties
Your records are not provided to third parties, except where required by law.
Deleting your data
Everything stored on the device is erased when you delete the app. You can also erase it yourself at any time from the Settings screen. If you would like the usage record held on the developer's server deleted as well, write to the address below.
Children
The app is intended for managing money and is not designed for use by children under 13.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as features are added. Significant changes will be announced inside the app.
